Gang Task Forces (Northern California)
This is a list of local law enforcement anti-gang task forces, charged mainly with suppression and enforcement efforts. These task forces usually are housed within one law enforcement agency, but represent multi-jurisdictional collaborations.
Humboldt County Gang Task Force
Humboldt County Gang Task Force regularly monitors the activities of gangs and identifies members through the exchange of information among law enforcement agencies, through interacting with members, and observing specific tattoos. Twenty-six officers representing multiple agencies participate on the task force: California Highway Patrol, Eureka Police Department, Humboldt State University Police, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Ferndale Police Department, Humboldt County Probation Department and State Parole.

Lake County Gang Task Force
Comprised of members from the Lakeport Police Department, California Highway Patrol, Lake County Sheriff’s Department and the Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Commission. The Lake County Gang Task Force’s mission is to gather intelligence on criminal street gangs, street gang members, and their associates and to conduct directed anti-gang law enforcement operations in effort to combat and suppress criminal street gangs and their influences in Lake County.
