Local Initiatives

As part of its mission to be a state clearinghouse for information and resources on efforts to fight gang and youth violence, the former Governor’s Office of Gang and Youth Violence Policy (OGYVP) used this website to showcase local initiatives around California. 

OGYVP partnered with the Anti-Gang Intelligence-Led Policing (ILP) Project, to capture the efforts of Local Anti-Gang Regional Coordinators who have worked to develop regional networks and clearinghouses of anti-gang programs and resources.  Where available, you will find links to local web sites and/or databases.  To encourage and facilitate information sharing and networking, project descriptions and contact information are included.

The information listed below is organized geographically using the Law Enforcement Mutual Aid (LEMA) Regions (Regions I-VI), the organizational structure used by the Anti-Gang ILP Project, so that you can more easily locate anti-gang initiatives in your county or region.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA - REGION I

This region includes the following counties:  Los Angeles and Orange.

This region includes the following counties:  Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano and Sonoma.
